Holiday of July 09 will have exhibition with 500 Kombis in the Sambadrome
Event will bring together vintage car exhibition, food fair, parade and live performances
In the holiday of July 9, next Tuesday, the Anhembi Sambadrome will receive from noon, the “Day of the Kombi”, event that will have as main attraction the exhibition of 500 copies of the old lady.
The event is part of the Auto Show Collection, held on Tuesday nights, and will bring fans and lovers of the Kombi, launched in 1950, and made in the country from 1957 to 2013. In addition to the regular models, the organizers expect to receive rare models like a 1950 copy when Volkswagen’s first vehicles arrived in the country and rare configurations such as the 6-door van and special series such as the 50-year-old Silver Series and Last Edition, which marked the farewell of the van at the end of 2013.
In addition to national models are confirmed units such as the German Kombi Westfalia of the 1970s, which had furniture kit and tilting roof, and was intended for use in campgrounds.
The event will feature on-stage models, a newly restored van, free photo booth for visitors to take a photo of inside a custom van, live band performance, 24-choice food fair, and flight sim features , market for parts with 50 tents, test ride of electric vehicles, motorcycle club area and purchase and sale of old vehicles, parade and infrastructure that includes parking, restrooms and sound throughout the sambadrome.
